My sweet Riley has been wanting to get her ears pierced for about the last year now. She has always been very curious about it, though couldn’t quite commit to sitting in the chair and going through with it. We went to Cl*ire’s several times, only to walk out because she wasn’t quite ready.
Stick-on earrings were invading our house and she loved to pretend that she had “real” earrings.
Well, all that changed over spring break when she went to SA for the week. After spending a couple of days with the “big girls” bella & sarah, she decided she was ready! My mom and sister took her (Aunt Paige had to pretend to be her mom!) and baby Leslie also got her ears pierced. Riley wanted to surprise Josh and me, so we didn’t know until we got to SA a day later! Since we couldn’t be there, we’re thankful for the pictures my mom took!
As soon as we arrived in town and walked into my parents house, Riley was leaping into our arms to show off her sparkly ears!
We are so proud of our girl. Just another example of our daughter growing too quickly!
