Braden {2 and a half}

Here’s a glimpse into who you are at this fun, fun age:

• Active, active, active…you don’t sit still for long, unless you’re sleeping!

• You love to be outside…playing baseball, riding your bike, driving the power wheels car, or helping daddy do yard work.  Usually when it is time to head in, you are reluctant and put up a fight!

• You make the silliest facial expressions and stick out your tongue quite often!

• Your current favorite toys are your weed-eater and blower you got for Christmas.  Many times you will carry them together, one in each hand.  Recently, when daddy and Uncle Trent cut down the tree in our front yard, you watched in amazement and wanted to be a part of the action!

• You also love all balls.  Baseball, football (“hootball”), soccer ball – you love them all!! You’ve actually got quite the arm too and can really throw the balls too!

• When you are tired, you are quick to announce you are ready for bed – “take me night-night”!  Tucking you in for the night is one of daddy’s and my favorite things to do!  We start with books, though you usually lose interest pretty quickly.  Then it’s lights out and time for songs.  Your current favorite is “itsy pider” and you often times say “again” before we finish the song!  After several songs, you love to be covered with your favorite blanket (blue with sports balls, no other blanket will do) – “cover me like dis” (you roll over onto your tummy and tuck your knees up, wanting the blanket draped over you).  Such a sweet, sweet boy .  We also end our nighttime routine with lots of hugs and kisses…you love to grab our face and turn it, kissing us on the cheek (melts my heart!).

• You love to be my helper, especially in the morning while I am cooking breakfast. Usually you want to be right by my side as I cook, often times pulling up a chair to be right by the action.

• You are quite the little talker.  You repeat everything you hear and have an extensive vocabulary. Some of my favorite words (that keep the “baby” in you) – “ogurt” (yogurt), “gwirl” (girl)

• Although you are very active, you love to snuggle, especially in the mornings while watching your favorite show, Mickey Mouse.

• You love your sissy and love to imitate whatever she is doing.  You always wake up before her and want to go wake her up after watching your show!

• You love to say prayer at mealtimes, which sounds a little something like “thank you Jesus, nourish our bodies, Jesus name, amen!”.  How sweet it is to hear you talk about Jesus. We pray that you continue to want to know more about Him and that you come to know Him as your savior.

We cannot believe how fast you are growing and that you are getting so close to 3! We’re so proud of how you’ve handled our move and how much you love school.  We love you sweet bubba!
